• Tried 1958 Cuban Cuisine last night and it exceeded my expectations! Everything we tried was exceptional — from the pork appetizer to the mahi to the paella. Even the simple things, like the side dish of beans, was so delicious! But my absolute favorite thing was the tres leches cake. After a big meal, three of us split one piece, and it was more than enough to go around! The flavor was beyond amazing – I wish i could order a whole sheet cake of it for a special occasion in the future!

• My friends took me out to dinner last Saturday night for my birthday. I’d heard good things about 1958 Cuban Cuisine. Having lived in South Florida for many years, it had been a while since I had Cuban food which I’ve always enjoyed. Everything was absolutely wonderful. The warm atmosphere and friendly owner and staff as well as the food! I ordered the vaca frita, congri and yuca con mojo. It was delicious. My friends all enjoyed their meals as well. Palomilla, oxtails, salmon and, salad. My friend mentioned to the owner that it was my birthday and they brought me out a flan for dessert. I really don’t like flan but this was delicious! I’ve totally changed my opinion about this dessert! I would definitely visit 1958 Cuban Cuisine again.

• My husband and I had a great lunch today at 1958 Cuban Cuisine. We ordered the ham croquettes and empanadas to start. Both were delicious. As our entrees, my husband got the ropa vieja with the congri and sweet plantains. I got the Cubano sandwich. My Cubano was huge and very reasonably priced for lunch! I was stuffed after half. The ropa vieja was incredible. I’m not a big meat person and I hate peppers and onions, and yet I could not stop eating off my husband’s plate. We mixed it with the congri and it was heaven in every bite. The meat was very flavorful and juicy. The owner, Luis, kindly brought me a small dish of the meat so I could have my own to pick on. Talk about great service! He introduced himself and went to every table checking in with each customer. Our server was also extremely attentive as well. I’m very glad this restaurant came to Westfield. I’ll definitely be going back!!

• Excellent AUTHENTIC Cuban cuisine! We started off with Masitas appetizer and croquetas. My husband had the churrasco with black beans and rice, I had the ropa vieja with congri and yuca. We finished off with a churro and a cafe con leche. Nice decor, excellent service from Rebecca and the owner Luis greeted every table. So excited finally for good Cuban food like my mom’s!

• I cannot say enough good things about this new establishment. The owner is there and greeting everyone and very involved with the patron. Best customer service I have had in a long time. As for the food, amazing. Steak was tender and cooked perfectly and yuca was delicious. Ask for the shrimp wrapped in bacon… not on menu. Highly recommend.

• I don’t know where to begin with my review. I will start with the cliche “I don’t usually write reviews but.” this place is phenomenal. The food is great, the service is great and the owners understand the importance of great customer services. I visited 1958 Cuban Cuisine for the first time about 2 weeks ago. I am frequent traveler to Cuba and I was missing really good authentic Cuban food. Well, this place did not disappoint. There was a bit of a wait but once we were seated the experience was nothing but pleasant. I ordered the Oxtail dinner and it was delicious.  The plates are nicely portioned and I took some home for the next day and it tasted even better the next day. I came back this past weekend during lunch and brought a friend and she also enjoyed the meal and customer service. I am rooting for this place and I truly hope they succeed.  I plan on having several meals at this great restaurant that reminds me of the kind, nice and welcoming way of the Cuban people.
